“This company continued for a long time because there is a consistency between the designers who were the head of the house, and this exhibition tells the story,” said coordinator Florence Muller, who works with the inheritance team at the Dior Archive.

In addition to showing a new collection of dresses, the exhibition revealed the works of artists of Korean origin, including new additions to the Dior Lady Art project. Lee UFAN, the Mono-HA pioneer, brought the distinctive stroke to three bags of wool in black, mint and white.

Park, an American Korean artist, brought to a distinctive motor sculpture, an organic structure that interacts constantly with light to divert the room’s mood. “The artwork itself is not the thing. I would like to think about my work as a living grouping of things,” said Park.

Shigematsu noted that the place, which is usually used in the Seoul Fashion Week, has made exciting challenges.

He said: “It is 2000 square meters with 16 meters high ceilings without columns. The absolute freedom was very exciting, but sometimes freedom is frightening,” explaining that his team had to “build our own building inside a building” to create objective rooms that converge with one comprehensive story.

The most prominent in the exhibition is a room in the atmosphere depicted as a giant “dalhangari” tractor, which is a traditional piece of porcelain in the Joseon era. Christian Dior’s love for gardens is brought again through the art of delicate paper by Hyunju Kim. The artist works with “Hanji” or Korean traditional fiber paper, for more than a decade. Kim, along with more than 20 assistants, spent more than two months to formulate tens of thousands of paper leaves, flowers and branches. Then two weeks were allocated to the paper “cultivation” individually without using glue.

“I really took into account sustainability,” Kim said. “The new appearance has expressed femininity and recovery after the war, and so I think the organic quality of” Hanji “can bring the wonders of nature to the modern world,” Kim said.

“I liked to work with Dior because I really felt the support and respect for anything I wanted to do,” she added.

Bialobos explained that artists have “criticizing Blanche to do everything they want”, which helps the brand to push new boundaries in terms of technology. For example, artistic bags of the former Dior with the Korean artist Lee Bul appeared on pieces of rocks that were challenged the brand to formulate in some way so that it was eventually thinner of the leather. The Lee bag is also displayed in the exhibition.

XA, a Korean Canadian artist, expanded her horizons as an artist when she was assigned to make a picture of Christian Dior for this show.

“I do not usually do pictures, so it was fun and interesting,” said XA, who held many talks with her husband, the mayor of Benito Vlaio, known as the most traditional European -style pictures.

“When we often think about the pictures, we think about the physical, but I wanted more psychological exploration. This was not easy because there is a lot of mysticism surrounding this man. But through my research, I saw Monsni Dior in a more sympathetic way and felt to contact him than: a man who loved gardens and called a bag after his dog.”
